Genesistic Exodie (Of Unknown Origin)
By MorganLikely
As if I were a shadow
As if I were a breeze
As if I were a sound
Unseen, I am
Except in the peripheral
Visions are all I grasp.
I've sailed upon the high-borne winds
Been carried by the currents of the aeriel oceans
To the shores of far off lands
I've wielded sword and rode the serpent tame
Broken the veil of the firmament
That seperates the Heavens and the Earth
Stolen a handful of the glittering jewels of the cosmos
Circled the moon
Pierced the sun
Touched the face of God
And still I rise...
And still I am a shadow
And still I am a breeze
And still I am a sound
And still
Unseen, I am
Except in the peripheral
Where visions are all I grasp.
I've walked the waters of the Seven Seas
Held firm the wildest of waves beneath my feet
I've wielded the trident
And rode triumphant upon the back of the Great Blue Whale
I've plunged deep beneath the placid surface of salty waters
Into an alien world of untold depths
And there I collected great white pearls of wisdom
Stole the Crown of Poseidon, fought the shark
And won...
And here I am a shadow
And here I am a breeze
And here I am a sound
And here I stand
Unseen, I am
Except in your peripheral
Visions you so scarcely grasp.
I remain to you a far off dream
Told you upon Father's knee
You see me in the clouds
Hear my voice within the wind
And my face stands graven
Into the Bones of the Ancient Earth
But only those stolen stars bear my name.
WHO AM I?
