Try changing the interface metric under the advanced TCP/IP tab from automatic and set the priority manually by putting the lowest metric number in for the interface that you want the system to use as the default gatway. Windows by default will set the metric based on the speed of the interface, but it doesn't always work well. If multiple interfaces have the same metric, the default gateway of the first network adapter is always used.
