ThinkAgain is guided by a soul purpose of utilizing alternative material sources to create durable, functional, fun and (un)stylish bags, wallets, and accessories. Over the years, Think Again has been a laboratory for altenative "fiber" exploration. It is this experience that gives Think Again products their longlasting and timeless design. Think Again's most well known material is recycled innertube rubber. Industrial truck, tractor, even road grader innertubes are reclaimed from the waste stream after they blow out during use. The tubes are cut open, cleaned, and treated with a non-toxic water based rubber protectant to protect from UV radiation and to give the rubber its lustre. The tubes have the look of black leather, but the unique quality of texture and writing that adorns each one, gives the products an industrial relic feel. These variations in the tubes make each product uniquely different. The rubber is waterproof, abrasion-resistant, and has a stylish look. As with most black rubber, temporary smudging can occur on light colored fabrics under damp conditions--making it ideal for the dark side of any wardrobe. Think Again products also utilize hemp canvas. The hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) produces one of the longest and strongest natural fibers. Hemp is also highly sustainable, with a rapid growth cycle, a high pest-resistance, and a long root structure which helps to aerate the soil. Although American farmers were once required to grow hemp, politics have more recently made farming this crop illegal and thus, the fiber must be imported. As recently as the 1940's, American farmers grew hemp for ropes and rigging used on ships in WWII. Hemp fabrics wear well, offer a rugged look, and continue a natural tradition. Think Again uses hemp canvas that is grown and woven in Poland. It is offered in green and black in 13oz. canvas and natural in 15oz. canvas.
